Since Mazi posted about the new Desyre album in the News Room, which is the best place to post it, I thought I'd post something here so you all can post your thoughts on it too!

I'm not sure how many people reads this forum, but here's some news for ya:
We're pretty sure we'll include an old number of ours on the new album. I won't reveal which song it is, but the way we play it now is way cooler than what it used to be. Very Happy

Also, I was reading thru our older guestbook at the desy777.com (still linked there for anyone to read) and I gotta tell ya, it was fun! Haha! So many memories in there.
For instance there used to be this German band also named Desyre (not sure if they're still around), and they bugged us to change the name. They claimed they had the copyrights and we were violating them.
Well, I telephoned to the Finland's registering-center (or whatever it's called) and they told me, there's no indication of Desyre-name there. And they checked the whole world.
I was relieved to hear this, since I had already put so much time and effort to the name Desyre. The logos and all..
Anyhow, when I confronted the German fellow-rokkers about this, they started to spam our guestbook! Haha! So, there's the proof, I guess! They didn't indeed have the copyrights.
They'd spam with different names and addresses, but the IP-address always gave them away. Funny funny funny... Razz

For their defense I have say that they had had the name since 1996. So I was 2 years too late! Darn! But I didn't copy it from them (so that's good enough for me).
I didn't know about them until 2004. Life.. What a funny thing...

Ps. Since it'd be nice to have some action to this forum, I'm gonna continue to post stuff here. Hey Joel, how about some kind of band member-blogs in here? Cool
